When U.S. troops invaded North Africa during World War II, they carried with them more than rifles and grenades. They were also armed with special legal-tender currency exclusively for GIs serving in the region. Similar to regular U.S. currency depicting Alexander Hamilton on the $10 note, each features a distinctive yellow seal unique to North African Notes. A great slice of World War II history.
