This 15-piece collection contains 15 different Mercury Dimes, each struck between 1939-1945. Weinman’s Winged Liberty Head design has earned the designation “most-handsome” U.S. dime. It resembles the Roman god Mercury, and helped fuel America’s economy during World War II. These .900 fine silver coins were quite popular in their own era. Had President Franklin D. Roosevelt not passed away in 1945—which led to a new dime design in 1946 featuring his bust—the Mercury dime would have likely been struck for many more years. Ours come in Very Good to Fine condition.
