By law, every U.S. coin struck for circulation must have the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on it. So when a small group of 2007 George Washington and John Adams $1 Presidential coins were released in error without the motto, it caused quite a stir among serious and casual collectors alike. The motto was to have been struck on the edge of the coins along with the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM, the year date and mint mark. Despite its technologically-advanced minting facilities, the U.S. Mint didn’t discover the error until these coins hit the market. Among the hottest coins in the collector world, this is your chance to acquire both coins. Plus, each has been certified, graded and encapsulated by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) to be in MS-64 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
