Remarkable as it sounds, the new $20 bills have been around for more than a decade! When the 'Big Head' design debuted in 1996, the Federal Bureau of Engraving promoted a special limited-edition 12-note set.

Each set includes a crisp Gem Uncirculated $20 Federal Reserve Note from each of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks that issued them; Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas and San Francisco. Each contains notes with matching serial numbers.

It's the first time the Bureau ever created an official $20 set of this type; just 2,000 sets were issued! Sold out long ago, we obtained several sets from a small hoard and are making them available exclusively to New York Mint customers!
