The onset of the Great Depression in 1929 ushered in a shrinking economy. As the economy shrank, so did our bank notes. These $10 and $20 bills represent the nation’s first small size Federal Reserve Bank Notes. Each features a brown Treasury Seal along with brown serial numbers. Issued only in 1929, they circulated in conjunction with the Green Seal Federal Reserve Notes that we use today. Each historic note comes in Fine condition. Get this two-note set for one great price!
