This Crisp Uncirculated 1935 Series $1 Silver Certificate is "Godless." It was released between the 1928 Series that did not have the motto "In God We Trust" and the 1957 Series that had the motto.

Compared to Monopoly money for their vibrant colors, MPC notes were issued from 1946 to 1973. Soldiers preferred them over coins that could “jingle” in their pockets, and potentially give away their position.

1780 Massachusetts Colonial Note

Even as the American Revolution raged across the land, commerce needed to continue. So, the Colonists answered the need for money by printing their own bank notes. A fine example of these early notes turned up in this small hoard of 113 scarce specimens.
