| This .900 silver coin was originally intended to pay tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Potsdam Church. Instead, Hitler issued it as a first anniversary commemorative of the Third Reich. Potsdam marked the beginning and end of Nazi control. Released between 1934 and 1935, this 29mm coin served as a Nazi propaganda tool. It features a German Eagle and a pair of swastikas, and it was the largest silver denomination struck by the Third Reich. Most of these coins were destroyed after World War II, so even finding Circulated specimens is difficult, adding to the scarcity of these Nazi Germany coins. |
